Working Remotely

Natasa Lagou - Blog Post, Working Remotely

As the world adapts to work remotely in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), I would like to inform you that I am still offering my services remotely. For years now, I can work best from any location, so the truth is that this situation is not something new for me. I can still work in a secure environment and be as creative, fast and effective as before.

I am taking advantage of the whole situation to point out the importance of the digital transformation of a business to survive the economic disruption due to the COVID-19 or any other future disease that may arise.

People will still feel safe-at-home!

You might already have noticed that a lot of small businesses that their services are based on social interaction, had to suspend their services until further notice. This means that in addition to the implications for people’s health, COVID-19 is having a significant impact on businesses and the economy. Retail businesses will experience the serious economic impact of COVID-19, even after the social-distancing measures end because people will still be cautious because of their fear about the disease.

Business owners who work smart will survive

Even if people are staying home, they are still consumers and willing to spend for the future. In my opinion, COVID-19’s chaotic results can become a learning curve for both the consumers and business owners:

  • For their own safety and convenience, consumers should start shopping online. It is fast, easy, secure, and they can have their products at their doorstep.
  • Business owners should realize that selling their products or services online gives them a huge advantage among competitors who base their work on social contact. In contrast to a physical store, an online store can function 24/7/365 and the cost for its annual maintenance is less than the rent of a physical store. Also, being able to sell online means that you are still able to work and make a profit, even during a lockdown.

It is not too late to transform your business digitally. If you haven’t done so yet, this is a good period to reconsider and do the next step towards digitalisation. There is plenty of time for you to consider all the manual tasks performed in your business that can be digitalised. In case you are interested in a decent online presence or an e-shop for your business, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be more than happy to assist you.
